nonsenses & truths

Port Dafarch

We left the campsite on a mini bus in the rain, and an hour later arrived at this bay on Holy Island at the edge of Anglesey, with a distinct improvement in the weather.  This was taken as we had some lunch after a bit of basic paddling tuition, and we were no longer being mocked for the earlier sun cream application.  Had a wonderful time just exploring the cliffs, the rocks are amazing and look like someone has just picked them up and folded them in places, which you'd never see from the top.  Enjoyed feeling the waves - there were a few more once out of the shelter of the bay, but fairly tame I think.  We ended with a couple of us trying a capsize, which I had only ever done in a swimming pool without a spraydeck before, so it was reassuring to find out that it's fairly easy to get out and float.  Not quite sure how to get back in again though...
