This is Valle de Cocora, home to the worlds largest wax palms. We got a jeep to the entrance and asked how we could do the short/lazy trek to the viewpoint (nobody was keen for a 7 hour trek through the jungle) and soon we were on our way. After about an hour of hiking up a huge palm tree covered hill, we got to a view of the whole valley and all its millions of trees. Unfortunately being so high made the trees look kinda small, so I've posted a photo from underneath instead. The rest of the day was spent browsing the Salento craft shops and watching Almost Famous back at the hostel.
