King and Queen of Silly

So, I learned today, that my Aunt Vivian still reads our blips...so this one is for you! Hi!!!

You would have loved wandering through the cemeteries with us today.  Mom, Dad, Debbie, Paul and I walked through two cemeteries visiting graves of friends and family.  We talked and shared and, of course, laughed while we remembered the happy times, the sad times, and just rejoiced in the fact that we were together.

Paul reflected on a saying that he first heard from mom some time ago.  When someone says, "it's good to see you", she said, "better to be seen than to be viewed".  Well, you know that has created an avalanche of funny moments for him, as it always comes to mind, now, when someone says, "it's good to see you".

It seems mom and dad have picked out some investment property, and set out to see how they like the view from there, today.  As we walked over to the land, dad asks, "OK, hon, do you want the left side or the right side...?"   Mom says, "well, let's see, I sleep on the left..."   Frankly, we're pretty grateful we are seeing them rather than viewing them too!  Just a couple crazy kids, showing us how to take life in stride, enjoy every day, and stay on this side of the grass.

Dad, thank you for serving our country, loving your wife and family, and honoring God with the life you are living.
