Autojumble

Our dining room at home has recently been a bit of a depository for boxes and bags of 'stuff'. It is an accumulation of motoring items kindly donated by de-cluttering fellow car scribes.

Currently, at many of the motoring events I go to, other journalists sidle up and hand me carrier bags bulging with books, old press kits, memory sticks and model cars. Come the first weekend in September, a team of us from the Guild of Motoring Writers will run a stall at the Beaulieu Autojumble, in the grounds of the National Motor Museum, to sell it all as a charity fund-raiser. We did the same thing very successfully last year.

Today I took an estate car load of 'stuff' to a storage unit we have on loan, that will house it through the summer. This is just the start of it all. A very good start, though!
