Nest Building Dove

I did a paid job today, taking photos at the opening of the new Anstey Frith Registry Office at Leicestershire County Council headquarters, Glenfield.

The house is nineteenth century and has long hosted nesting white doves.

I was lucky to catch this one flying off with a twig in its beak to add to the nest at the top of a drainpipe, which passes through an alcove in the front wall.

Very appropriate to have white nesting doves at a house of marriage.
