Lac Monroe

The sun shone at last and we headed for the Parc national de Mont-Tremblant. After quite a drive, and avoiding all the tourist areas around Mont-Tremblant itself and Lac Tremblant, we eventually arrived in the Park.

What a fantastic, wild place it is! We chose a trail that would take us up and we climbed through the trees to this view of the Lac Monroe glacier valley and Mont Tremblant ridge. It is strange seeing all the mountains covered in trees. I suppose the Lake District fells were the same once upon a time.
