Rhododendron.

We have this little rhododendron growing in a container on the patio.  The buds are a strong pink becoming lighter as they open.  Rhododendrons are mainly from Asia but there are also species from the Appalachian Mountains in America.  The shot clearly shows the 10 stamens which identify it as a Rhododendron  rather than an Azalea which has 5.

A quiet day round home continuing catching up on jobs and preparing for the weekend.  Being an alternate Wednesday we had our usual meet up for a few drinks with my brother and Sister in Law.
