A Somerset Orchard

The sky was a little overcast this morning as Russet and I set off to deliver a message to the Rectory, and we went into the orchard nearby to see the apple blossom. It would have made a better photo with the sun shining, but the blossom still on several of the trees was very pretty. Russet ate some of the long and lush grass while I snapped away, and enjoyed snuffling around somewhere different. At one time there were orchards like this all over the village, including the area where our house was built in the 1950's.
