Black Eagle Hydroelectric Dam

On the Missouri River, Great Falls, Montana

The dam was originally built in 1891 and was rebuilt in 1926. It's 753 feet long 13 feet wide and generates 21 megawatts.

The Missouri River is the longest river in the United States at 2341 miles

As the river goes though Great Falls it goes over a total of 5 falls and drops a total of 612 feet over a 10 mile span.

Today was much better with rain just off and on. Work was slow but continuous. Heading back towards Oregon in a few days..
