Vilnius (Day 1)

Met my former colleague Ramunė for lunch. Great to catch up after too many years.

We had a good, close (working) relationship which came to an abrupt end when I moved to a new job.

Some amusement when the waitress gave her the English language menu and the Lithuanian version to me. I was flattered - she, not so. As she speaks Engish with a Scottish accent, maybe she speaks Lithuanian like a Scot too?

Spend a bit of time afterwards just wandering around enjoying the warm sunshine and seeing what has changed here in recent years.

The Blip is the Aušros Vartų - Gates of Dawn. A 16th century chapel which was part of the city wall originally.

More catching up with Ramunė in the pub later.
