Where the Light Gets In

More likely, she was keeping her cold to herself!

As we thought it would be, last night's dinner was excellent. The Japanese restaurant proudly announces on its front window: "no sushi or sashimi". They specialise in battered and fried cuts (pork, chicken) and seafood. Excellent udon, too! And my dessert was so good I decided I'd make some myself: it was an asuki-paste-filled pancake (well, technically, two pancakes sealed together). I bought some asuki in an organic food shop at lunchtime and I'm planning on soaking them tonight so as to be able to make the paste tomorrow, and probably the pancakes on Sunday.

Nothing else was really exciting today (for the moment: it's only 4!), except for my customary wander along the nearby streets at lunchtime.
