Restoration

I went to see our accountant today to find out how much tax we will be expected to pay on our earnings from the guest cottage. Without that information we cannot work out next year's prices and without those we cannot take any bookings. We have a queue as long as your arm of people who want to come and mess up our towels next summer ;-)

The accountant is pulling her hair out because there have been so many 'reforms' that the system cannot keep up, the online declaration gadget is riddled with errors and she dare not make online declarations for any of her clients until the system is working properly.

Meanwhile Greece is expected to make a charitable donation to the starving millions at the IMF while the ECB inflicts more 'reforms' upon us preventing our tax office from collecting tax.

This sign was put up on Wednesday outside our local disused monastery which sleeps two.
