The Belle of Bates Hall

It's not easy to get stuff done.  Particularly when it involves Council.

But the Blackheath Hall is a standout as an example of how community can take the reins and be a standout success.

Fantastic refurbishment by this committee and tonight we were celebrating their achievements.  Wonderful musical program - Sue and Michael on flutes, Canon fodder - such talent in our midst and  Robin Martin reciting a fabulous rendition of the Man from Snowy River adapted to the opening of the refurbished Bates Hall.

President Wayne Kelly, but main mover and mother of minutiae Linda McLaughlin.

Great job guys.
