Goodbye's and hello's

Our V.I.P.'s left us today for the next leg of their trip. We took them to Manchester Picadilly to catch a train to London, then headed off to Walton Hall in Warrington.

During the process of buying our house we became friendly with our mortgage adviser and have been trying to find a chance to meet up with him and his family. They live near Manchester so we chose Walton Hall as there's a children's zoo there for their little boy.

The peacocks there were more than happy to be photographed.

We'd all brought a picnic lunch, which we sat outside at a picnic table to eat despite the freezing cold weather! To warm up, we went for coffee in the café, and chatted until the staff came over to let us know they were closing as it was 4pm!
