Polar Bear

Highland Wildlife Park. 

From the paragraph in the guide book we thought we would only spend a couple of hours there, but we spent the whole day. The polar bears were perfectly relaxed and happy. The elk however was not, mostly because his gal had just had twins and was not letting him within fifty feet of them. 

The red pandas sat in their tree and imitated tea cosies. The Wild Cat kittens did not make a show, even for a dead rat or a dead chick. 

Basically we went round everything twice and had a good chat with the keepers who were all on hand to talk about their favourite subjects; the animals. 

It didn't rain too much. 

And the cream scone with strawberries was very nice too.
