Guillemots

Guillemots nesting on the red sandstone cliffs at Fleswick Bay ( between St Bees and Whitehaven )...see detail on the extra photo.

We parked at Whitehaven train station ( £2 all day! ), and got the train to St Bees. We then walked along the firstpart of The Coast to Coast route back to our car ( just over 6miles......hard miles though, as most coast walks are. )

What a splendid walk! The red sandstone cliffs looked extra special with the thrift in full flower!

Chloe enjoyed her 3 hour walk too!
