Sierra y Mare

Not sure about the Spanish words, but we've been to the mountain tops and the seaside today as well as a rather dry river bed.  We'd been told about a little restaurant high up in the hills above Mojacar so we went to investigate and found the beautiful village of Cabrera where the scenery was absolutely stunning and the light was fabulous.  Then we headed down to Mojacar Playa for a paddle in the Med and a Tapas lunch.  We stopped off to investigate a dried up river bed with some lush green pools which seem to have survived the heat (Sorry to all those in the UK!).

The main shot is the vies from by Los Pastores Restaurant looking up to some mountain peaks complete with houses doing their best to be absorbed into the landscape - all with interesting Moorish designs.  There was one dome that I thought was a map of the world - I was most disgruntled to discover the patterns were just where the tiles had fallen off!

Thought you might like to see the view of the road snaking back down the mountain from a tiny viewpoint and the lovely beach.
