Creag Meagaidh Take Two

A different route to take us up onto Creag Meagaidh avoiding the snowed in corrie known as 'The Window' which you can see on this shot - the cleft in the cliff faces to the right with the snow filled gully.   To the middle of the image and up into the low cloud is the summit and yes it was a white out which saw us following a bearing over the ice field to arrive at the summit.   Here's Ian heading up to one of the Munr tops of the Creag Meagaidh massif.  A relief to head back along the ridge to pick up the two easier Munros of Stob Poite Coire Ardair and Carn Liath.  Another day of gusting winds so cold as to take our breath away and full winter gear on for the whole of the day.   An exhilerating mountain day of 13.42 miles and 4465 feet of ascent  : )
