But, then again . . . . .

Dee Dee.

Another of my series of Gorilla photographs from Bristol, this was at The Centre. The artist was Susan Jane Lees sponsored by Jeff Lampier. She was called Dee Dee (Distinctly Different) and represents the beauty of Nature and the delicate balance between nature and urban life. It was a little odd that a lot of the gorillas were given female names (and clothing) but the blank fibre-glass model was of a (male) silver-back. How undignified for the old boy. As with all of this series of pictures (there were over fifty of them) I tried to include people, usually children, and not one parent expressed any displeasure at my using their offspring in this way. Since then I have been challenged for including adults in pictures.
