Finale.....

This afternoon found me down low amongst all the seed heads and dried leaves in the garden. This scabiosa is going out in style.

It is also the finale of maymacromayhem kindly organised by Walking Wombat. It's been a fantastic challenge, so many wonderful shots with many of us experimenting with the fascinating world of macro. Thank you so much B for the idea and time you've given to the challenge, I've thoroughly enjoyed participating.

And its also the last day of autumn, with some autumn leaves still clinging to the trees but the forecast for the coming week is looking a little grim as winter arrives, those autumn leaves will soon be gone.

Overall autumn has been kind to us 'townies', but not so kind to the farmers in North Canterbury who are still experiencing drought conditions - no rain since last November, their morale is low as they move stock out of the district.

On this last day of autumn, a light frost this morning, the sky was clear and all was calm, warm in the sun but cold in the shade, 16C made for a pleasant day but winter is on its way.

Happy Sunday everyone :)
