Halo, Is It Me You're Looking For?

Back Blip
It was a lovely sunny day so D and I pottered in the garden then packed the children off to my parents and loaded the car up with all the gear for the Accelerants  gig at The Ruskin Arms in East Ham. As it was their first gig outside of our village and in front of a room of strangers as opposed to friends and family, it was quite nerve-wracking for the boys.
When we arrived, we checked in then met up in the bar for a few drinks and something to eat. There were a few locals in there already, playing pool and watching the FA Cup final (Arsenal won 4-0 Hurrah!!) then we got changed and set up.
The reaction to the first half was good, no heckling or jeering, which was a relief then by the second half, the crowd were 'warmed up' and ready for some singing and dancing. It was amazing to see a pub full of people enjoying their music, the band were amazing and totally won them over.
Afterwards they were mobbed by new fans, chatting to them, hugging them and taking photographs. Bill was even asked to sign a poster.
It seemed like a good idea at midnight to start wandering the streets looking for an open curry house but we had to make do with a dodgy kebab shop. Only the boys were brave enough to partake so, with their well deserved take-aways we headed back to the bar where they bathed in the warm glow of their success (and I went to bed).
Fab-u-lous!
