Doors day 4

Took a detour through the village of Duddingston on the way to my father-in-laws house.  Like yesterday's shot the village of Duddingston has many unique and interesting doors.  Duddingston and Gilmerton are just two of the many old villages that were swallowed up by the expansion of the city of Edinburgh.  Duddingston village is much more well known the Gilmerton village.  Many visitors come to take in this beautiful village, the oldest pub in Edinburgh the beautiful Duddinston loch and access to Arthur's seat.  I did not even know that Gilmerton village existed before we found our flat.  Like many others I thought of Gilmerton as a deprived area, but in Edinburgh there are always little hidden surprises.
