St Stephen's Prittlewell

Excellent time with the good people of St Stephen's, Prittlewell. Their roof leaks, the electrics are dodgy, there's damp, rotten windows & the building is hanging on by a thread ..... and the church is truly all-age, loving, vibrant and growing. Theirs is a great story, they have grown in numbers, confidence and vision and have submitted plans for a complete rebuild (see extra pic), all paid for by a housing association who will make use of some of the adjacent land. Pictured is an extra-ordinary church warden, child learning circus tricks & in the foreground, the long-awaited notice of planning. In addition to worship space their new build will have a 24 hour prayer room, day care, possible Post Office (the nearest alternative is miles away), kitchen space for classes on basic cookery skills, counselling rooms, cafe ........ and more!

As always, the real joy is the personal stories of faith in the day-to-day of life. This is an inspiring community.
