Needle of Knowledge Obelisk

One of several art installations which are apparently dotted round the campus.

I rather liked the patterns and colours - they really stood out on a grey, rainy morning.

Appeal to techie-blippers: I have just acquired a small laptop for travel purposes (i.e. small enough to go in  my camera bag!).  As well as allowing me to back up my photos, I want to be able to do some editing - but it doesn't have a huge amount of memory or a particularly high-powered processor.

So the dilemma:  do I simply install PS, or would I be better off with Lightroom? I'm toying with the idea of installing LR on my main laptop anyway and I wondering which would be the better option.

Any thoughts or reviews would be appreciated...
