Ruin in the Sun

Strange how one can follow the same route for years but then an unusual light will highlight a feature in the landscape that you haven't really noticed before. this old cottage when it was occupied would have looked out onto a very different surroundings. Not the monocultures of Sitka spruce in the back ground or rye grass in the foreground!
Opening the shop again today but enjoyed a bit of banter at Schull market first and a few games of volleyball afterwards, music with friends in Kilcrohane and enjoying a house full of young people chatting, laughing and cake baking on my return home!
