Last Chance to See...

We stopped off on the last leg of our journey home to take our final chance this year to see the gardens at Glendoick, just off the A90 between Perth and Dundee, which are open (and in their prime) in April and May every year.

Much of the garden is in woodland up on the slopes of the Sidlaw Hills, planted with an enormous variety of rhododendrons, many of which were collected from the wild and/or bred on site at Glendoick by the Cox family over the years.

This one is a hybrid from the Rhododendron cinnabarinum ssp xanthocodon Concatenans Group.
