Scarborough Castle

Trip to Scarborough.


Had a walk along the South Bay sea front and managed to avoid the ghastly arcades and made our way up to the castle.  Once there, it was fantastic.  360 degree Panoramic views, nice weather and glorious location.  The kids had a Knight training session learning medieval sword play.

This shot is one of a few taken that day, but in the foreground is the flattened ruins of the Kings Hall and in the distance is the remains of the Keep.

From here we went to the North Bay and took an open topped bus back round to the South Bay and then went to the Grand hotel for Prosecco and dinner.  The Grand hotel, was not........ grand!  Thats all i have to say about that!

Afterwards it was back to out hotel in our family room for four!
