Back to Front

I was taking shots as I walked the dogs through the sand dunes today and came across this male reed bunting perching on some grasses that were wildly swaying under a stiff wind. I was amazed at his ability to keep his balance. I have photographed female reed bunting previously but was astounded at the incredible plumage of the male. Normally I don't tend to exhibit shots of the rear of birds as the catch light in the eye is a vital focus but I could not resist this when I saw his plumage revealed on my computer screen.
