Sweet Caroline

Driving home from work early the Neil Diamond song 'Sweet Caroline' came on the radio and brought a lump to my throat ... You see I was on the way to the Crematorium for the funeral of a sweet Caroline.
A month ago Caroline was home and well just waiting on some results ... A week later she was rushed into hospital and 11 days later she passed away.
She thought she had years left to spend with her beloved husband and 15 year old daughter but sadly life intervened and this wasn't to be.
Today was a reminder just how precious life is and how none of us knows how much time we have left. So live life to the full and enjoy time with those precious to us ... and as her husband said today - that is just what they did - they lived life to the full. The candle burning brightly is a reminder of her shining presence.

Sweet Caroline ... Good times never seemed so good.
