Still life with a cat

I snapped this one with HD's phone while walking through the neighborhood with Marilyn. I was struck by how much the cat's fur color matched the trunks of crepe myrtles. I though of removing the blue flag in the grass (which marks a buried water line) with Photoshop, but I chose the truth. :-)

Coming back from holidays is unpleasant. It feels like caging one's soul again.
