Fire

He waited until the sky was just beginning to lighten when he knew the guard would be asleep. Using a stick, he scooped some glowing embers into a pot. From time to time, he checked on the snoring guard - wrapped in furs. He knew that he was only tolerated by the rest of the tribe because his brother was the leader. But his position was barely better than that of the people who followed them around, living off the tribe's scraps.

But now, with this fire, he and the following people could start their own tribe. They wouldn't need the tribe's fire.

After carrying the warm pot for a short distance, he stopped, struck by a thought. Carefully putting the pot on the ground, he went back to the fire-pit, unzipped his jeans and urinated on the tribe's fire, extinguishing it.
