Going for Gold

It sure has not been a flash day here today and late this afternoon the fog rolled in. Prior to that I  was coming home from patchwork and we had a brilliant little while of sunshine. You can see the Catholic spire behind the trees and it all basking in a beautiful golden glow. The gates on the street is rules and regulations gone mad. Since the earthquake another church which isn't deemed safe so the gates are there and children have to walk on the road instead of the footpath just in case there is another quake and the spire falls down. So meantime they share the road with the school buses etc.
One of the silver birches I planted many moons ago with my Brownie Pack and then the church put in a whole row of them.
The Anglican vicar came and helped the little brownies and we planted a tree at all three churches as service to the community.
