Front garden colours

My front garden flowers and shrubs combine yellow, purple and a sort of maroon colour, which I really like as a combination.  The roses and shrubs hold their colour all summer but the purple irises, aliums and clematis fade quite quickly after June. But for now, even in the horrid wind, we enjoy what is there.  

You can already see the wild poppies begin to grow quite high...they are the ones I just sprinkle from pods every year.

I planted some of the sunflower seeds today down near our pond...the darker coloured ones which I have never seen in bloom.  Fingers crossed.
