Brandenburg Gate.

After a final morning in Kiel, we moved on to Berlin this afternoon. Once we had settled into our hotel we set off to find the Branndenburg gate, pictured here. It is very impressive. On our way we paused at Checkpoint Charlie which was fascinating. I had never realised quite the impact the Berlin wall must have had on the residents. I have included an extra picture today of the entrance to what would have been the American zone of Berlin before the wall came down.
