Broom

The broom trees are so pretty and full out at the moment, this was on our walk today alongside the Air and Calder Navigation river If you look at the extra pic you will see Bullholm lock in the distance, this is where the Aire and Calder River goes off to the left and barges go through the lock to the canal because of the weir through Castleford,  it joins the Aire and Calder rivers at the confluence of the two further on. Basically the Leeds Canal meets the two rivers and they join except the barges and cruisers have to bypass the weir. The bridge is an old Railway bridge now now in use, which connected the main York to Leeds line at Garforth with Castleford.
Nice Morning for a walk but a very windy afternoon.
