Bling Building

After a lovely day catching up with friends and watching good movies, one friend gave us a lift home past this. This is the University of Strathclyde's Stenhouse Building, somewhere I once spent a lot of time as an under- and postgraduate student. It's home to the Marketing and Law departments, but seems to be experiencing a rather bling makeover with all this gold cladding. Ruth said she almost crashed when she saw it the first time. It looks like the end of James Weir is getting the same treatment, but on a smaller scale. Certainly gave us an extra laugh at the end of the night, though not, perhaps, the effect they were going for!
