Grantham Canal meets Fosseway ( Bridge 18)

This is the ‘dry section’ of the largely disused Grantham Canal in Nottinghamshire. This site interests me because it is where the old A46, the Roman Road Fosseway, intersects with the industrial revolution canal. The routes interact between the remains of locks where two bridges now cross at this site, one being for the new dualled A46 which was opened in 2012 and is in my Extra Photos.
