At least 500 years ago

..this Sweet Chestnut was a single chestnut, now it is so big that it is not possible to take a full shot of the whole tree. Can you imagine how many people have climbed on it, sheltered under it, hugged it and it is 500m from our house. All our guests visit this tree, it is astonishingly bigger than any other in this area.
