Gherkin Green

Another London skyline picture. This one has the Swiss RE (Gherkin), Salesforce Tower (previously Heron Tower) and 122 Leadenhall Street (the Cheesegrater).

The skyline continues to change. In the distance I can see the Barbican and peeping from behind the Gherkin is what was the NatWest Tower (now Tower 42). Two of what would have been the tallest developments at one time.

There's no sympathy to the surroundings in the city. It's brutal. It's all about the size, shape, gimmick (sky garden springs to mind). And plonking a restaurant at the top. I'm not knocking it, I actually love it.
