Day off today, lots of plans, lots to do....where does the time go!

Short stuff was eleven today and unlike last year, when I played it safe and ordered a chocolate cake, this year I thought, it'll be fine, just stick to the recipe. It didn't work, me and chocolate cakes simply don't work. So Mary Berry's Chocolate Obsession turned out to be something best forgotten. It was edible, the filling was the best, nothing wrong with the ganache either but to refer to the rest as a sponge would be quite a stretch of the imagination. 

Extra photo shows the birthday boy inspecting one of his presents up at his autie's house, a hoodie from his cousin. He was, as usual, very happy with his presents. All in all he really is a great kid.

As we were heading home, I pulled up, jumped out of the car, did a couple of quick snaps of this old house (don't know the name of), in Haroldswick and this is it. Guess it is really more about the garden at the moment, will stop again and get a better on of the house itself.
