Cottonwood Tree Seedheads EVERYWHERE!

While sitting at the table on our back deck (taking yet another needed break from gardening) we were surrounded everywhere by hundreds and thousands of Cottonwood tree seedheads.  They were thick in the sky above our very high Hickory and Oak trees, around our heads, just floating thickly on the breeze.  I've seen this happen at Myers Park but never like this in our backyard!  Some were clumped into large floating pieces of  "cotton-wool" (as called in U.K.).  A few seedheads had clumped together as they'd gotten caught up on a catkin that had blown off the roof onto the table.  I'm including an extra foto of a small area of the sky with these seedheads looking like snow falling.
