Pigeon Proofing

We own this building in the middle of Blackheath and there has always been a problem with pigeons roosting in the eaves with unpleasant consequences for people walking underneath.

A few years ago we spent over $1,000 having some spikey things put on the beams to deter them but to no avail.
Recently the council told us (again) we had to solve the problem.
After getting necessary approval to "close the footpath" and enough scaffolding to construct a department store, here are Greg and Anthony installing the wire netting recommended by council.

Earlier in the day Mr isbi reported that the homeless pigeons were all sitting on a nearby roof observing the process.
Unfortunately by the time I arrived to blip them they had gone.

I am now eagerly waiting to see whether they move to the nearby laundromat or to the art gallery to set up house.
Then it will be someone else's problem.
And no doubt plenty of work ahead for Greg and Anthony.
