Shuttle?

There is no plinth, no plaque, no sign, no name, no identification to assist the casual observer.

This is a major work set on the apron leading to the main entrance of Strathaven Golf Club.

On making enquiries of club members, no one could provide any information and a few confessed to having not been aware of the sculpture until I brought it to their notice.

One non-member suggested it may be a 'shuttle' as used in weaving and signifying the importance of hand loom weaving to the town's heritage.
