Just in passing

In Edenbridge today and taking a shortcut from the supermarket to the High Street, I saw this memorial on the side of the hairdresser's.
It commemorates nine men employed by Whitmore's tannery who died in the Great War.
Here are their stories. Nice to see the bright poppies above the memorial, showing that people still respect the sacrifice of those young men who once walked the streets of this small town.
