Calanches

We are staying on a very minimalist campsite by a lovely beach near Piana.  We spent the whole day travelling a relatively short distance from Calvi along a very challenging but extraordinarily beautiful road down the West coat of Corsica.  I remember driving this road previously in a hire car but doing it in a motorhome adds a new level of challenge.

The Callanches is a Unesco  world heritage site just South of Porto and consists of an amazing set of rock formations.

Porto itself was not very convenient due to 'No motorhome' signs that made us walk the best part of 2 km into the town to find the tourist office.  They told us that there was parking for motorhomes in the centre but it was not signposted.  When I suggested it may be a good idea to point this out to drivers I just got a Gallic shrug.

You must look at Jane's picture of the procession of Ferraris that passed us while we were having coffee this morning

Thanks for all your nice comments about yesterday's sunset
