Juvenile Squacco Heron

So pleased that my Wadi is again teeming with life, new life! So many young birds and ones I have never seen before as babies. Just looked at this Squacco Heron all feet and that beak! Of course I went to check on my Lapwing chick who is now very grown up, he just lacks the red wattles and the bright red eyes and beak. Thunderstorms could be in our region next week!
