Pushing the limits

This was a challenging photo. With lighting from the strip tube in the kitchen ceiling and shooting handheld at f/5.6 and 1/125 this was never going to be good. Automatic ISO turned out to be 3200, which is insane, and I swear the lens is not as old and dusty as it looks. Useful experiment. For the curious, the UV filter was cracked when I was clearing the back of the jeep in Patagonia - the lens had got wrapped up in a bedroll and fell onto the asphalt. Well, rather the filter than the lens!
