Cap of cloud

The city had a cap of cloud over it this morning. Even above the thermal inversion layer up the Port Hills, it felt bleak. On my return to the flat it felt even bleaker.

Not a lot of light to work with either. Further inland the mountains proudly displayed their new winter coat. You're looking at the Torlesse and Craigieburn Ranges with the Big Ben Range off to the left.

There is a climb in Arthurs Pass tomorrow but I have too much to do.
