At peace

A friend's son died yesterday, much loved and surrounded by his family. Paul McCauley was only 39. He was the victim of an unprovoked sectarian attack at a barbecue in Northern Ireland. It happened nine years ago, since when he had been in a vegetative state in a coma, never regaining consciousness. The peace process has brought calm to Northern Ireland, but this weekend a family is mourning the tragic loss of one of the last victims of the Troubles. May he rest in peace.
