Open Gardens

Had a fabulous afternoon looking round local open gardens this afternoon. Enjoyed a barbecue in one garden, Pimms in another, tea and cake in another and a model railway (amazing - took a video) and a harpist. Bought a fabric home-made bag, a watch and a CD of the Paraguayan harp music. It was all in a good cause (local children's hospice) so I didn't mind spending quite a bit. And the weather was glorious!

The photo is of one of the gardens and the lady in the blue dress on the right comes to our church (it was her and her husband's garden). They look after the planters at the church too, which look lovely through the summer. As you can see, the event was very well supported.
